OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
WORK SHOP AND REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 25, 2014
PRESENT WERE: Skip DiCamillo, Janet Bechtel, Evan Griswold, Stanley Kolber, David McCulloch, Christian Tompkins, Mike Moran and Tim Rollins.
Chairman DiCamillo began the workshop discussion at 6:00 P.M.
The commission discussed and reviewed possible policies and procedural changes to be implemented by the commission to create a better flow for both the application and enforcement process. The items discussed were the handling of complaints, standards to be followed, timeframes for receipt of applications, timeframes for approvals, site visits by staff, and soil testing.
The commission used several documents to aid in their discussions:
- A draft outline submitted by Commission Member Stanley Kolber of basic communications and operations protocol for the commission to follow.
- The Inland Wetlands and Watercourse Commission report prepared by Chairman DiCamillo for the 2012-2013 Town Annual Report.
- The informational sheet that is included with the Inland Wetlands applications.
- The Newsletter for Municipal Inland Wetlands Agencies from the Department of Energy and Enviromental Protection
The workshop ended at 7:00 p.m.
REGULAR MEETING
Chairman DiCamillo called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
MINUTES OF JANUARY 28, 2014 REGULAR MEETING
Janet Bechtel made a motion to approve the Regular Meeting minutes. Christian Tompkins seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
14-3 ROBERT AND JENELL JANES - 60 GRASSY HILL ROAD- REMOVE EXISTING DWELLING AND BUILD A 3 BEDROOM HOME WITH A 2 CAR GARAGE.
The commission reviewed the site plan and narrative provided with the application and agreed to set a site walk for Saturday, March 15th at 8:30 a.m.

EARTH DAY
DiCamillo reported that Commission Members Evan Griswold and Christian Tompkins will attend the Earth Day Seminar on April 22, 2014.
ADJOURNMENT
Janet Bechtel made a motion to adjourn. Dave McCulloch seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
