OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
WEDNESDAY, MAY 9, 2018
@ 5:30 P.M.
- 5:30 p.m. 18-05 – Larry Neureither – 13 Edge Lea Road – Construction of a single family dwelling with associated improvements.
PRESENT WERE: Commissioners Tom Machnik, Rachel Gaudio, Evan Griswold, Bob DePianta, Bill McNeil, Gary Gregory and WEO Keith Rosenfeld. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 PM.
The group gathered at the property with the applicant’s engineer. They first reviewed the plans at the start of the site walk, all orienting themselves to the property lines, the wetland area. They reviewed the location of the proposed house, well and septic system; all located on a nearly flat lot, within an established residential neighborhood.
Seamus Moran, PE explained that the plans called for the development of the lot with a single family residential home. He explained to the group the nature of the wetlands located on the other side of the street; within the 100 foot Upland Review Area. He stated that the construction of the house, etc. would have none to minimum effects on the adjacent wetlands, with the addition of erosion controls (sediment fence) prior to the start of construction. He stated that it is a rather small swamp, normally drying up in the summer.
No other discussion took place and the meeting adjourned at 5:36 PM
