MINUTES
OLD LYME INLAND WETLANDS AND WATERCOURSES COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
MARCH 28, 2017
PRESENT WERE: Skip DiCamillo, Evan Griswold, Tom Machnik, and Rachel Gaudio. Also present were Keith Rosenfeld and Kim Groves.
NEW BUSINESS
17-1 SANDY SPENCER/BILL MCNEIL – 30 WHIPPOORWILL ROAD – REMOVING MATERIAL TO LEVEL BACKYARD FOR SAFETY AND CORRECT EROSION IN BASEMENT.
Bill McNeil explained that he had purchased the property at 30 Whippoorwill. He noted he has done a couple of additions and cleaned up the property and would now like to remove the hill and open up the back yard. He stated when you walk out the back door there is a hill approximately 15 feet off the back of the house. He noted as a result there is zero view. He also noted that when it rains, the water comes down the hill and runs into the basement.
He stated they would like to create a view and minimize the water into the basement and be able to enjoy their back yard. It was also noted the plan submitted with the application shows the property split into three parcels and Mr. McNeil clarified for the record the property was not divided and it is his desire to keep the parcel as one piece of property.
The commission reviewed the plan submitted with the application and set a Site Walk for Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 5:30.
OTHER BUSINESS
Keith Rosenfeld submitted a report to the commission which lists the current Inland Wetlands Permits and their status.
The meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Kim Groves
