CALL TO ORDER: the meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M.

OLD BUSINESS – vote
Chairman Joanne DiCamillo authorized Joan Flynn, Alternate, to vote in place of Emily Griswold.
Dogwood trees in front of town hall – approved recommendation to Mr. Degnan, Tree Warden, for structural pruning of the three dogwood trees in front of town hall.

ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN - vote
Joanne DiCamillo was elected Chairman of the Tree Commission for 2018.

CLERK’S REPORT - vote
Approval of meeting minutes: February 15, 2018 were approved as presented.

BUDGET REPORT - no vote

Communications:
3/15 - 33 Sill Lane - resident reported dead/dying tree by the roadside on Mill Lane
3/12 - 5 Hillside Road - sugar maple and Norway maple marked for removal by tree warden. Not certain they are town trees.
3/1 - 58 Buttonball Road - new resident reported dead tree in front of home
2/28 - 11 Longacre Lane - resident reported a large tree leaning over wires across from the mailbox at 30 Saunders Hollow Road
2/22 - 7 Sill Lane - ash tree and sugar maple marked for removal
2/21 - 12 Library Lane - resident reported 6/7 small dead trees lining the road in front of home
2/20 - 4 Hillwood East - resident would like to remove a tree that her arborist believes is on town property


Pruning estimates - vote
Review and approved pruning estimates for the dogwood trees at town hall, the ornamental cherry at the police station, a white oak located on Hawks Nest Road and an oak at the corner of Liberty and Prospect

MEMBERS’ REPORTS - no vote
Mrs. DiCamillo - follow up to member’s suggestion for tree planting adjacent to Rogers Lake Dam
