NEW BUSINESS - none~~
OLD BUSINESS ~
Care of Trees – revised proposal for treatment of elm trees
Mrs. DiCamillo has requested a revised proposal from Care of Trees. Their original proposal included treating the elm tree in front of Town Hall that was taken down last year. We have not received the new proposal.
Iselin Tree – Saunders Hollow Road & Town Hall tree trimming/removals
Iselin Tree Co. submitted quotes for tree trimming and removals at Town Hall and on Saunders Hollow Road.
Saunders Hollow Road: $1200 for removal of a tree at 10 Saunders Hollow Road, pruning of large, dead, overhanging branches from #10 to Rte. 156, and removal of dead and dying trees on the south side of the road. Brush will be chipped. All logs will be piled on the side of the road for removal by the Town Crew, no stumps ground.
Town Hall: $500 to trim the 2 dogwoods and the white birch in front, prune the new trees, and the linden tree on the south green.
With the commission’s approval, Mrs. DiCamillo contacted Mr. Iselin, who will go ahead with the work.
When tree contractors remove logs, etc., they pass on the dumping charge to the town. The town saves money when Public Works cleans up and disposes of the debris.
Saunders Hollow Road – planting discussion~
There is room for two trees near the stone wall, behind the power lines. White dogwoods were suggested.
