MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 25, 2019 MEETING:
Corrections to the minutes: MINUTES OF JANUARY: Change RSQ to RFQ.
Table Purchase: ….two 8 foot folding tables for Rogers Lake Clubhouse ($195.98 Total). Gary Weed put forth a motion to approve $250 for table purchase...
TREASURER’S REPORT - Doris Hungerford - Report covered 2/28/19 to 3/18/19.
A motion to accept February, 2019 Minutes with corrections and the Treasurer’s Report was called for by Joni Bonvicin. Diana Seckla seconded. Unanimous approval.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Director’s Notes: Stephanie Lyon-Gould - February attendance total -1955. A beach mat for White Sands Beach is in this years town budget.
Building Use: Gary Weed - The three doors which need to be replaced should be in by the end of the month. The fire extinguishers are ok. The fire system in the kitchen will be tested. Two new flags have been installed (American and POW) to replace tattered ones. Stephanie Lyon Gould - The curbs have been cut back for safety reasons.
Special Events: Stephanie Lyon Gould - Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon and the Irish Dance.
Upcoming Summer Concerts - Sponsorship/donations are being solicited to support this free series.
July 11th - The Corvettes Doo Wop Band
July 18th - The Cartell’s Band
July 25th - Rock Solid Alibi
August 1st - To be Announced (Waiting to hear back from the Coast Guard band)
Upcoming Day Trips - are selling well.
Upcoming Events - The National Honor Society - Ice cream and trivia event.
OLD BUSINESS:
Memorial Garden Update - list pending: Stephanie Lyon Gould - The list will need to be finalized by the next meeting. The dedication ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th 1:00.
Volunteer Luncheon: A Lifetime Achievement Award and Volunteer of the Year Award nominations were named and voted upon. Gary Weed put forth the motions and Joni Bonvicin seconded. Unanimous approval. The Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be presented with a certificate and her name to be on a new plaque. The funds to purchase the plaque will be voted upon at the next meeting. The luncheon will be held on May 8th.
NEW BUSINESS:
Halls Road Improvement Project: Jeri Baker - Provided an informative print out to the board.
Other New Business: Nominations for board positions will be accepted in May. Election of officers will take place at the June meeting.
ADJOURN: Meeting adjourned at 1:32. Doris Johnson put forth the motion and Joni Bonvicin seconded. Unanimous approval.
