OLD LYME PLANNING COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING
MARCH 21, 2019


PRESENT WERE:  Chairman Harold Thompson, Jon Curtis, Alternate Barbara Gaudio seated for Steven Ross and Alternate Don Willis seated for Todd Machnik.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

The commission by passed the Pledge of Allegiance because the flag was not properly displayed.       

LOT LINE MODIFICATION APPLICATION – 19-1 GREAT OAK ROAD/SHORT HILLS ROAD – CAWIAMCA/TOOKER

Michael Bennett, LS of Bennet & Smilas Associates presented the Lot Line Modification.   Mr. Bennett reviewed  with the commission the conveyance of land indicated between the property owners as depicted on a map entitled “Lot Line Modification Plan Land Now or Formerly Howard S. Tooker Land Now or Formerly CAWIMCA LLC Great Oak Road Old Lyme, Connecticut.  He stated the lot line modification would result in both property owners conveying to one another an equal share of land.  He also noted the conveyance of land would prepare the property for a future Resubdivision of Land at 19-1 Great Oak Road.    

The commission received correspondence from Tom Metcalf, dated March 13, 2019.    Metcalf stated that the new configuration will enable Lot 8 to be further divided.    He also noted the plans have been revised to negate the creation of an additional lot.   Mr. Bennett stated that a note would be placed on the plan.

The commission also received correspondence from Attorney Edward Cassella.   The commission reviewed the four comments outlined in his letter to the commission.

Mr. Bennett agreed to comply with all the conditions outlined in both letters from Attorney Cassella and Tom Metcalf.   The attorney for the applicant Alex Tighe will be in touch with Attorney Cassella to work out the issues prior to public hearing for the Resubdivision on April 11, 2019.

Harold Thompson made a motion to approve the Lot Line Modification for 19-1 Great Oak Road and 20-1 Short Hills Road contingent upon all the items outlined in Attorney Cassella’s letter.  Jon Curtis seconded the motion.   The motion passed unanimously.

RESUBDIVISION APPLICATION – 19-1 GREAT OAK ROAD –CAWIAMCA

Harold Thompson made a motion to receive the application and set it for public hearing at the April 11, 2019 meeting.  Don Willis seconded the motion.   The motion passed unanimously.

READING AND APPROVAL OF THE FEBRUARY MEETING MINUTES

Harold Thompson made a motion to waive the reading and approve the minutes as submitted.   Barbara Gaudio seconded the motion.   The motion passed unanimously.
