If the interest is there sessions 3&4 will start after 1/1/10.
Adult Basketball:  takes place on Wednesday evenings 6-9pm.
On-line sign-up for fall programs is available on the web site.
Town Woods Park:  the soccer club has been asked to spread out some of their practice games.  It was noted that the softball field in back of the high school is usable.  The wear and tear of Town Woods fields is heavy.
Little League:  Keith McCarthy, President of Little League, was at the meeting to ask permission to use the field at Town Woods for fall baseball.  Fall baseball is usually played at Cross Lane; however they want to make improvements at Cross Lane i.e.
repair of outfield; build new dug-outs, and general maintenance.   Use would be Saturdays, 6-7 wks, 2 games, 3 teams.  Lining of the fields would have to be paid by Little League.  Discussed the letter LL given to the commission members several months ago in which they listed the improvements they felt were needed at Cross Lane.  There needs to be a determining as to who will pay.  Park and Rec Commission would have to request funding when they prepare their 10/11 budget and would not have money available for any projects until after July 1, 2010.    The Commission would like to review the letter and discuss it at a later date with Little League.
Old Business:  Roger Zito asked as, a point of interest, having information made available of all the trails, boat launch areas, etc to the public.
Town Woods maintenance contract:  At a recent Selectmen’s meeting, Selectman Sibley noted that he would like to have the contract go out to bid.

Meeting closed at 8:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted,
Doris Johnson
