Re:  Town Woods policy draft  reviewed.  Some parts were up-dated or re-done.
Draft will be forwarded to Town of Lyme Park and Rec for their comments.  Members were told to read and to be ready to vote at the June 4th meeting.
Request from Andrea Buch, for use of Hains Park, June 20-July 11, 7am-9am & 1pm-3pm. for rowing activity.  After discussion a motion was made by Bill Crandall “that it was ok with Park and Rec Commission members but conditional upon the approval of the Roger Lake Authority, Old Lyme Police, Liability Certificate of Insurance and answers to questions that the Park and Rec Director might have.”  Seconded by Bob Dunn.  All in favor.
Don has a gas company bill for $741 for installation of an underground gas line which originally wasn’t properly installed.  After discussion, it was decided to forward the bill to the Town Woods operating committee.
Jeff Flower, head of the Connecticut River Lacrosse club, has provided a roster of players,to the Commission, as requested.  Since the club has been using Town Woods field exclusively for its games and practices, and it is known that there are out-of –town players in the club, the purpose of the request was to see the percentage of out-of-town participants.  The break down is 25% Saybrook, 19% Reg 4, 3% others.  Jeff has secured a playing field in Saybrook and has started using it.  Reg 4 is still in discussion.  After  discussion it was decided to assess a fee to the Connecticut River Lacrosse Club. The fee will be used for field maintenance.  A motion was made by Bill Crandall “to charge $25 per out of town participant to be paid immediately. This will increase to $50 next year and will be payable at the beginning of the season.  Fee is also subject to increase.  Fee will be waived if the town provides a reciprocating field for play.”  Seconded by Bob Dunn.  All in favor.
Plans to refurbish Hains Park bathhouse has been put off until next fiscal year.

Meeting closed at 8:50 pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Doris Johnson, secretary
