Special Meeting Minutes
April 17, 2019

1. Call to Order
Co-Chair Bill Dunbar called the meeting to order at 9:00am. Members and guests introduced themselves.
2. Discussion of Great Oaks Rd & Short Hills Rd Resubdivision
Surveyor Mike Bennett and Developer Ron Pelletier described the reasons and justifications for the resubdivision application at 19-1 Great Oaks Rd and 20-1 Short Hills Rd. The proposed resubdivision would substitute an equal amount of contiguous conserved land for the existing land in the subdivision now under conservation easement.
OLOSC described overall open space goals to Ron Pelletier and Mike Bennett. In following discussion Developer Pelletier expressed support for helping OLOSC achieve its goals for acquiring meaningfully connected open space and Surveyor Bennett provided suggestions for achieving additional valuable open space in the area under discussion. At 9:45am Mike and Ron left the meeting.
In further discussion it was agreed that OLOSC, working with Mike Kiernan of OLLT, should further establish and record its long range goals for open space in the Short Hill Roads area, both to formulate a written response for the Planning Commission public hearing on the Great Oak Rd/Short Hills Rd resubdivision and also to enlist the help of Ron Pelletier in achieving identified OLOSC long range goals for this area. It was agreed to hold a further meeting with Mike Kiernan, tentatively on April 30.
3. Adjournment
At 10:15am on motion by Bill, second by Peter, it was voted to adjourn the meeting.
