Land Steward Report for February 2019
3 March 2019
Returned to Connecticut on 16 February and based on reduced hours, I will hike each land parcel once a month.
- 19 Feb- Bartholomew – cleared small limbs. Overall, the trail is in great shape, foot bridges are good and trail has sufficient markers. No trash/litter found.
- 19 Feb - Champlain North – Cleared small limbs. Trail has sufficient markers. No trash/litter found.
- 25 & 26 Feb - Champlain South - Cleared small limbs and many downed trees blocking trails with hand saw. Some empty beer bottles found. Met 4 hikers with their many dogs. Very nice and appreciative of the commission’s work.
- Did not hike Ames due to poor weather.
