6. Public Comment
Ron Bianca spoke about an email sent to the FEC Board on July 10 from Rocco Todaro from Center Beach Ave regarding a “Swan Brook re-route”.  From looking at the email addresses it was sent to – it may not have been received.  Ron read the email to the Board:

“To the Flood and Erosion Control Commission,
~
I was told by an old timer that several years ago there was brook that ran between Center Beach Ave and Hawks Nest Rd.
This brook was rerouted through pipes to Mile Creek from Shore Rd. across from Hawks Nest Rd.
The same could be done with Swan Brook.
If I’m not mistaken, Gary Smith said when he built South Shore Landing there are large drainage pipes to Mile Creek and there is enough capacity to handle the Swan Brook outflow.
It would be much wiser to use the Grant money to connect from Teddy’s Pizza and hook up with the South Shore Landing pipes.
Out of sight, out of mind, no upkeep or maintenance.~
I did a site walk of the existing reroute and it does go through several properties, but the Swan Brook reroute could go along route 156 a short distance.
The outflow crib and all piping under Hawks Nest Beach could be removed.”

Gary Smith stated that what was mentioned in the letter about what he said was not accurate.  There was a discussion.  Steven Ross will forward the email to Todd and Mary Ellen for distribution.  This will be discussed at the next meeting.

7. Adjournment
Gary Smith moved to adjourn the meeting at 5:50 PM, and Steven Martino seconded the motion.  SO VOTED.

Our next meeting will be on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 5:30 PM, Town Hall, second floor meeting room.

Respectfully Submitted,

Mary Ellen Garbarino, Clerk
