Minutes of Regular Quarterly Meeting

R. Whitcomb called meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
Members present – M. O’Brien, G. Peduzzi, D. Basler
- No press was present
- No members of the public were present
A. Minutes of January 19, 2010 meeting were unanimously approved – Motion made by
M. O’Brien, seconded by D. Basler
B. Public Comment
C. Discussion of Code Section 43-4M
- Motion to amend the Code by modifying Section 43-4 in the following manner: “Political Activity. No public employee or public official or candidate for elected office of the town shall utilize town funds, supplies, vehicles, or facilities for the purpose of any (1) campaign activities, (2) directed/specific actions/efforts by organized groups to influence pending referendums, and/or (3) political fundraising efforts.” Motion made by M. O’Brien, seconded by G. Peduzzi. Motion passed unanimously.
- R. Whitcomb will review proposed amendment with town attorney Marilyn Clark prior to presentation at town meeting.
