Minutes of the Old Lyme Economic Development Commission of the Meeting of 1/7/15
Meeting commenced at 8 AM in the Old Lyme Town Hall. Present were Bob Jose, Susan Howard, John Stratton, Gerry Foster, Bill O’Meara and Joe Camean.
We discussed the following topics:
1. Real estate news from last month showed 127 sold in town so far this year with 145 listings and 12 under contract. Market appears to have slowed particularly $400M and up, however, plenty of late summer closings reduced inventory and under contracts.
2.No new news on Soundview development program nor Main Street grant.
3 No new news on the bike/hiking trail development, awaiting Amtrac response and other souces of grants etc.
4 Shopping center on north sida of Halls Rd for sale @3.7MM
5 Discussed impact of the Pfizer people moving out of OL over time and who will replace them.
6. Continued to discuss Doc’s letter regarding perceived economic status of Old Lyme.
7. Adjournment at 9:10 AM.
