Minutes of the Old Lyme Economic Development Commission Meeting of 3/6/13
Meeting commenced at 8 AM in the Old Lyme Town Hall. Present were Bob Jose, Susan Howard, John Stratton, Bill O’Meara, Frank Oliviera, Gerry Foster and guest Frank Noe
We discussed the following topics:
1. Real estate news showed in Town sales after 12 months of 2012 had exceeded 2011 by 30%.
2.Storm recovery appears to be on going.
3. Hiking/biking trail progress is moving forward, hoping to get some additional info soon.
4.Soundview plans are being drafted and need to got out for RFP on engineering.
5. Soundview foreclosure results discussed between members and Mr. Noe. He was discussing his plans for Soundview area in the future and expressing some concern for his business interests at the beach including the restaurant. Suggestions included changing the name of Hartford Avenue and improvement of the street lighting.
