Attending: Council members Peter Sielman, Russ Gomes, Robin Purcell; Comcast Representative John Bairos
Chairman Peter Sielman called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm.  There was not a quorum.

Comcast Report
John Bairos handed out an updated exhibit of Basic Service and Digital Package Channel Line-ups. He called attention to  new additions such as A La Carte which brings in programming from Europe and South America.  
Town of Old Lyme Grant Application
Town of Old Lyme has completed its purchase of equipment specified in the grant request to the Area Cable Advisory Council 12 November 2009 and is requesting reimbursement of the $3,000 per the grant award agreement.  Robin will issue the reimbursement as agreed.
State Cable Council
Peter read from the statement of mission  from the Statewide Video Advisory Council (SVAC). He reported on his attendance at the meeting. The big issue discussed at the meeting were digital quality issues/ Cablevision .
Old Business
Robin reported that only one of the four applicants who were awarded scholarship money from the Council has sent in proof of enrollment .  Russ will contact the other recipients through the High School Guidance Departments.
Russ also requested from John the procedure for setting up a dedicated line to the Old Lyme High School which is now under renovation. One-way video, Internet services, cable TV would be provided by Comcast at the expense of the Regional School District; and John stressed that while building is going on, it is the ideal time to assess needs and associated costs..

The next meeting of the Council will take place at the Salem Library at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010.
The meeting was adjourned  at 8:30 p.m.
