V. Chairman’s Comments
Chair Sam Barnes reported that the Family Day held in September, although an overcast day weather wise, it was a great day.
Chair Sam Barnes introduced the two new representatives from the High School; Megan Barnes and Kiki Filindarakis.  He explained their roles on the Commission and that at the meetings if both are present they would only have one vote; this works the same way as with the Dylan and William.
VI. Director’s Report

Director Heather presented the Commission with an updated organizational chart of her department.
She also shared the CT Youth Services Middlesex County Assets in Action Award plaque that the Department received.
At Family Day they served approximately 400 hot dogs. Again although not very well attended due to weather, it was a great day.
Interns – they have 6 and Director Heather explained their credentials and where they each work into the schedule.
October 22nd is the date for the Community Summit wrap up meeting.  This will be an opportunity for the parents who have questions to ask them.
