VI. Approval of Minutes of the Special Meeting from Tuesday January 11th 2011
A Motion was made by Dorothy Shearer to Approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting of January 11, 2011. Motion Seconded by Peggy Viggiano. No Discussion. The Motion was carried Unanimously, Kathryn Hanratty Abstain.

IX. Directors Report
CADCA National Leadership Forum was attended by Director, many great programs and ideas were discussed at Forum.
Sustainability of programs was discussed, Talent Show, using carry over of funds, Summer stock Theater, is more of a fundraiser this year. How to obtain funds and keep programs running were discussed, also some planning for next years events were discussed.
Staff/Intern Updates – More Colleges in the area are interested in getting involved with the agency to provide more interns to the agency. Getting interns integrated in the school system is still a work in progress.
Programs/Events – Rory Laverty is on Maternity Leave, Wendy and Heather are filling the gaps in programming while Rory is at home with her newborn. Talent show is scheduled for May 6th at the High School. HCHY is involved in the Chili Fest Saturday March 5th. They are working with Aspen to be the best Chili in Saybrook. Summer Stock Theater will be held at The Kate this Year. Family Bowling night was a huge success with 2 sessions of 26 lanes being used. There is a business expo at the Saybrook Point Inn on March 19th.
School Counseling – Joe Onofrio & Carol ? Are looking into ways to improve referrals and the confidentiality between schools and Youth & family Agency
X. Old Business
Y & F/ HCHY Budget – Sue Consoli & Kathy Ferrentelli have been approved to have hours increased by Selectmen.
HCHY & Local Prevention Council - Mini Grants were discussed, many questions about them, if they should be continued, revamped, adjusted. Discussion followed on how to get more parents involved in Child’s activities. Many social issues involving drugs, alcohol, social hosting, were discussed and how to get parents involved in the issues. Foundation mission statement is being worked on, and looking at how funds are to be used.

Ray Allen asked Director about again sponsoring a Summer Concert on the Green Director would look into possibility again this year.
