PRESENT: First Selectman Carl P. Fortuna Jr., Selectman Carol Conklin, Selectman Scott Giegerich (absent) and Town Planner Christine Nelson.
I. CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Fortuna called the meeting to order at 10a.m.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE- Recited
III. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC- None
IV. COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMAN: The First Selectman commented on how the Town will hire Vision Appraisal services to conduct the Town’s revaluation and not doing the revaluation in house.
V. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Board of Selectmen Meeting July 11, 2017.

VI. BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD
A. Discuss and act on Call of Special Town Meeting, July 25, 2017
Items on the agenda were the Youth & Family Service building lead abatement and reconstruction. The First Selectman explained the process.

B. Discussion and possible action on Connecticut Community Connectivity Grant Program (CCGP) Application.
Christine Nelson discussed this grant to connect the sidewalk from Pond Road to Lynde Street. This is a very competitive grant but this is a good project to submit for this grant.
