MINUTES

Present: First Selectman Carl Fortuna Jr., Selectman Scott Giegerich, Selectman Steven
Gernhardt, Members of the Public

I.
CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Fortuna called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.m.
II.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – First Selectman Fortuna passed over the pledge as it will be recited at the 7:00 P.M. Planning Commission meeting.
III.
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – Dick Goduti questioned the road repairs on Maynard Road. He wondered how the gaps from the road to the sidewalk would be completed for safety purposes.
IV.
COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMAN
First Selectman Fortuna commented that the Resolution the Board had before it tonight is required by bond counsel. The bonding model that has gone into the public offering includes principal and interest in the first year. Interest rates look favorable right now, as the 10 year treasury has come off its highs near 3% to settle near 2.5%. The one fly in the ointment could be the Detroit bankruptcy trial which will likely not be decided before the Town goes to market.

VI.
BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD
A.      .  Discuss and act on BOS Delegation Resolution approving the terms of the .    Town’s General Obligation Bonds, issue of 2013 and delegating the First    
        Selectman and the Treasurer the authority to proceed with the sale.

Motion to so approve said Delegation as indicated above.

B.  Proclamation: November 2013 Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Motion to recommend the Town’s Proclamation that November, 2013 be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
