SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MINUTES
PRESENT: First Selectman Michael Pace, Selectman Carol Manning, Town Planner Christine Nelson, Attorney David Royston, Town Counsel Michael Cronin and members of the presss. Selectman William Peace is absent.
I. CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Pace called the meeting to order at 10:07 A.M.
II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Selectman Pace led those in attendance in the Pledge
III. COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC – None present
IV. COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMEN – None at this time.
V. BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD
A. Discuss and act on Call for Town Meeting February 11, 2010.
First Selectman Pace reviewed the call, he asked Town Planner Christine Nelson to review the properties. Attorney Royston stated that the Hope Partnership lease for the Ferry Road property must also go to town meeting and that was included on the call.
MANNING/PACE
Motion to approve the Call for Town Meeting on February 11, 2010.
MOTION CARRIED
VI. COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMEN
Selectman Manning stated that she had a meeting with Senior Housing personnel and it was a very good meeting. They have received a grant from HUD for some renovations.
First Selectman Pace stated that the budget process is underway and he is asking for our state representatives and senators to support the need for state aid to the towns.
