MINUTES

Present: First Selectman Michael Pace, Selectman William Peace, Selectman Carol Manning, Police Chief Michael Spera, Parks & Recreation Assistant Director Ray Allen, Fire Marshal Donn Dobson, Tax Collector Barry Maynard, members of the press and interested citizens.


I.
CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Pace called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Selectman Pace led those in attendance in the Pledge
III.
BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD
A. Discuss Youth & Family Services organization, structure and position(s).
First Selectman Michael Pace reviewed the process, the planned change in the organization of Youth and Family Services is off the table. There will not be any re-organization of Youth and Family. The Selectmen reviewed the revised job descriptions. These have been reviewed and revised by town’s labor counsel. They will be posted for five days for the Directors position as specified in their union contract and ten days for the Social Services Coordinator, again as specified by the union contract. There were questions from members of the public which the Selectmen addressed.
