Present: First Selectman Michael Pace, Selectman William Peace, Selectman Velma Thomas, Labor Attorney Patrick McHale, Town Attorney Michael Cronin, Deputy Chief Michael Spera, members of the Press and concerned citizens

CALL TO ORDER – First Selectman Pace called the meeting to order at 2:07 p.m. |

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE – Selectman Pace lead those in attendance in the Pledge |

BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD A. To hear, discuss, deliberate and act on grievances filed by Richard Goduti, Dispatcher, Old Saybrook Police Department.
At 2:20 p.m. Attorney McHale addressed the Board of Selectmen. He stated that he had been in conference with Mr. Goduti and union representatives. Mr. Goduti and the union signed a memo withdrawing the grievances with prejudice. Mr. McHale read the memo in its entirety. (copy attached) Mr. Peace asked what “with prejudice” meant. Mr. McHale stated that nether the union nor Mr. Goduti can ever try to bring this back to the Selectmen. The issue is closed. Goduti Memo to BOS.pdf
