BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD A. Discuss and act on Garbage Bid. Two companies submitted bids, Finkeldey
and All Waste. Finkeldey was the low bidder for the 2008-2009 garbage/recycling removal, $10,039.64. All Waste submitted a bid at $14,01.60 and included a Federal DOT rating sheet and statement that the sheet is used by the State of Connecticut DOT and DAS. Executive Assistant, Roland Laine spoke to Kathy Flannigan Beal of the Department of Motor Vehicles who stated that this sheet is used by DOT and DAS but she did not know of any municipalities who used this data. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has removed data from this website while the agency works with the State to review accuracy.
