SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MINUTES

PRESENT: First Selectman Michael A. Pace, Selectman William Peace, Selectman Velma Thomas by telephone.

I.	CALL TO ORDER
	First Selectman Michael A. Pace called the meeting to order at 12:00 P.M.
II.	COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC No public present.
III.	COMMENTS FROM THE SELECTMEN None at this time.
IV.	BUSINESS BEFORE THE BOARD A. Discuss and act on Call for Town Meeting, May 14, 2008. First Selectman Michael A. Pace reviewed the purpose of the Annual Town Budget Meeting for general government and Board of Education to be held on May 14, 2008, 7:30 p.m. at the Old Saybrook Middle School and send to referendum. PEACE/THOMAS Motion to approve the Call for the Annual Town Budget Meeting to be held May 14, 2008, 7:30 p.m. at the Old Saybrook Middle School. MOTION CARRIED UNAMIMOUSLY B. Approve the Board of Selectmen Resolutions for re-funding of 2001 General Obligation Bonds. First Selectman Michael A. Pace stated that the Board of Selectmen and Treasurer have approval for the sale of bonds and received a Resolution from the Bond attorney and reviewed the resolution approving the manner of the sale of and terms, details and particulars of the Town’s General Obligation Refunding Bonds as described in the draft of the Preliminary Official Statement. Further resolved ,that the First Selectman and Treasurer shall determine the principal amount of the Bonds, the Refunded Bonds to be redeemed and the amount, date, interest rates, maturities and other details as shown in the Preliminary Official Statement. PEACE/THOMAS Motion to approve resolution as received from Bonding Attorney. MOTION CARRIED UNAMIMOUSLY
