I. CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.

III. REGULAR BUSINESS
A. Minutes
MOTION to approve the minutes of November 28, 2012; MADE by Stevenson, SECONDED by Esty; NO DISCUSSION; APPROVED by Missel, Flanagan, Esty and Stevenson; 4-0-0.
B. Correspondence
Jeremy DeCarli, Associate Regional Planner for the Lower Connecticut River Valley Council of Governments (River COG), presented correspondence from Marilyn Hilliard of the Mitigation Division of FEMA Region I. It stated that FEMA Region I has completed its review of the Town of Old Saybrook & Borough of Fenwick Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan (update 2014) and found them approvable pending adoption.
C. Staff Report
Mr. DeCarli updated the Committee about the Region’s efforts to update the Plan of each town in the region. He stated that Old Saybrook’s efforts over the past few years have created an excellent template from which to work.
IV. ADOPTION
A. Status of Final Draft Plan by DEEP/FEMA
MOTION to recommend the draft Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan as approved by FEMA to the Planning Commission for approval; MADE by Missel, SECONDED by Flanagan; DISCUSSION regarding Planning Commission referral to Board of Selectmen and Town Meeting for adoption prior to effective date to be set by FEMA; APPROVED by Missel, Flanagan, Esty and Stevenson; 4-0-0.
V. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 2:28 p.m.; MADE by Esty, SECONDED by Flanagan; NO DISCUSSION; APPROVED by Missel, Flanagan, Esty and Stevenson; 4-0-0.
