I. CALL TO ORDER
The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.

III. REGULAR BUSINESS

IV. REFERRALS
A. Criteria for “Consolidation of Regional Planning Agencies”
ACTION: Review context, consider options, report to Board of Selectmen.
The Commission discussed with Linda Krause, Executive Director of the Connecticut River Estuary Regional Planning Agency (“CRERPA”) the circumstances of the request of the Lower Connecticut River Council of Elected Officials (“LCVCEO”) to combine the boundaries of the Connecticut River Estuary region with that of the Midstate region. Ms. Krause reported that the Governor’s Office of Policy & Management had approved that request about a week earlier. The Commission thanked Ms. Krause for attending and stated that it feels it is important to have a connection between the local and regional planning agencies and hope that that relationship will be sustained under the new region. The Commission will send a letter to the Board of Selectmen to this effect.
V. ADJOURNMENT
The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 8:05 p.m. until the next regularly scheduled meeting of June 1, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the first floor conference room of the Town Hall, 302 Main Street.
