CALL OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meetings of the Town of Old Saybrook will be held at the Vicki G. Duffy Pavilion, 155 College Street, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. for the following purposes:
- To act upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen to appropriate $60,000 from the Town’s Capital Non-recurring account for the repair of the Chamber of Commerce roof, which funds will then be transferred into the off budget account entitled “Chamber Repair Funds”.
- To act upon the recommendation of the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen to appropriate $150,000 for the purpose of hiring a construction firm to replace sidewalks at specific locations in Old Saybrook. The appropriation will be made to the General Fund Capital Outlay account, said funds will then be transferred to an off budget account called “sidewalk construction”.
