CALL OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a Special Town Meeting of the electors and citizens qualify to vote in Town Meetings of the Town of Old Saybrook will be held at the Vicki G. Duffy Pavilion, 155 College Street, Old Saybrook, Connecticut, on Monday, June 12, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. for the following purposes:
- To act upon the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen to approve two applications for the Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) (Connecticut General Statutes Sections 12-631-12-638):
- The Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer: $150,000 based on the NAA’s Energy Conservation Program tax credit of 100%.
- The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center: an amount up to $150,000 based on the NAA’s Energy Conservation Program tax credit of 100%.
- To act upon the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen to sell a single-family dwelling house and lot situated at and known as 185 Bokum Road, Old Saybrook, Connecticut for the purchase price of $200,000.00.~ The proposed sale was referred to and approved by the Old Saybrook Planning Commission.~ Said premises are part of the property purchased by the Town of Old Saybrook on~April 30, 2015 from~the Trust for Public Land as part of the area known as "The Preserve".
