NORWICH, CT – Scenic Road Resurfacing Project

Pursuant to Section 13b-31d of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut regarding scenic roads, the Commissioner of Transportation announces the proposed Resurfacing and Safety Improvement project along Route 154 in Old Saybrook.  The resurfacing and safety improvements consist of Vendor in Place 2” resurfacing, updating guiderail to current safety standards, tree trimming and hazardous tree removal.  The proposed project limits begin at Fenwick Street and end at Old Boston Post Road.

The present schedule indicates that the project will begin in April of 2017 and is expected to be completed by June of 2017.  This project will be undertaken with 100% state funds.

It is the Departments policy to keep the public informed and involved when such projects are undertaken.  It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the projects development.  A public informational meeting will not be conducted as this project is considered routine maintenance.  This project is administered by the Office of Maintenance – District 2 in Norwich.
