The Old Saybrook Historical Society will be hosting a Report from the Project Directors, Saybrook Fort and the Pequot War: American Battlefields Project, at the Vicki Duffy Pavilion, Saybrook Point, on September 25, 2016, 2:00 p.m.
Noted archaeologists and historians from the Mashantucket Pequot Research Center, Dr. Kevin McBride and David Naumec will present their fidings regarding the location of Saybrook Fort and its role in the Pequot War, 1636-1637.
The study, funded by the National Park Service, included extensive archaeological work in Saybrook Point area and numerous artifacts were uncovered which will be presented to the Old Saybrook Historical Society. The public is invited and there is no charge for admission.
