Help Shape the Future of Transit

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is conducting a statewide study of the bus transit system.  This study will map out the state's investment in bus service over the next 25 years.

The public is being asked to participate in workshops to assist in the study.  This is your opportunity to share your transit experiences and needs.

As this is a statewide study, it is important we have strong participation from the valley-shore region.  9 Town Transit has many planned service expansions and improvements, including:

  • Eliminating deviations on Shoreline Shuttle to improve on-time performance
  • Adding ADA paratranasit service along the Shoreline Shuttle for people with disabilities to continue receiving off-route service
  • Extended hours of service on Shoreline Shuttle offering earlier times into Old Saybrook and later times going back to Madison
  • Saturday service for the New London and Middletown routes
  • Sunday service for Shoreline Shuttle
New service between Old Saybrook and North Branford along Route 80 With transit ridership having doubled in six years, we need to ensure that this area receives funding to continue expansion and improvement of bus services.

Please make your voice heard by completing the survey, which will be available July 25th - August 5th.
