Town Hall, 1st floor conference room
302 Main Street, Old Saybrook

As you may know, the Planning Commission has taken an interest in studying the condition of the town’s scenic roadsIngham Hill Road, Schoolhouse Road, and portions of State Route 154 along its coastal loop.  These roads were designated by the Town or the State to protect the scenic quality while maintaining the capacity and safety of travelers.

The Commission will hold a public information session on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, 7:00 p.m. in the first floor conference room of the Town Hall, 302 Main Street, Old Saybrook.  During this session, the Commission would like to hear from any interested person about the natural, historic and other physical resources that make the roads “scenic”, any concerns about the roads themselves, and suggestions for preservation or enhancement of either.

The Commission will use this information in its study and subsequent update to the Plan of Conservation & Development.

If you have any questions prior to the public information session, please contact Christine Nelson, Town Planner in the Land Use Department: (860) 395-3131.
