The Courage to Speak
Wednesday September 19, 2012, Old Saybrook Youth and Family Services will be hosting a speaking engagement by Ginger Katz, at the Old Saybrook Middle School auditorium at 7 p.m. Ginger Katz is the Founder and CEO of The Courage to Speak Foundation, and will deliver her keynote address regarding the mission and purpose of her Foundation and her personal story behind its formation.
The Courage to Speak Foundation was founded by Katz in an effort to foster open communication about the prevention of alcohol and other drug abuse among young people. Since 1996, she has given over 1000 presentations nationally to thousands of parents.
“Through such education,” says Ginger Katz, “the lines of communication open so parents can understand what their children face, set appropriate expectations, guide their emotional development, and provide moral support.”
