Since the dedication of Founders Memorial Park in 2008, an ambitious group of folks have been weeding and maintaining the natural plantings.
It is our hope to continue this service to the town for our enjoyment but also for the pleasure of all of you who have made the most of this great “new” asset.
The park is located at 100 Coulter Street (atop the former landfill) overlooking the Connecticut River and, on clear days, Long Island Sound.
Typically, we work as a group, but those of us who’ve been at it for awhile make our own schedules and simply “keep an eye on things”.
If you are interested in helping out, then give a call to be notified of the first organizational meeting this Spring.
