Shown in photo is Carol Browne of the Old Saybrook Women's Club presenting checks to Susan Consoli, Social Services Coordinator at Youth and Family Services to benefit Warm the Children and The Shoreline Soup Kitchen, and to Matt Rubin of the grassroots fuel assistance program H.E.A.T.
Ms. Browne said with the current economic conditions, the Old Saybrook Women's Club wanted to focus their efforts this year on helping fellow residents truly in need. This year donations were made for the basic necessities of heating fuel, warm clothing and food.
