1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 pm by Chairman Ray Collins.
2. Roll Call:
Present: Ray Collins, Chairman; Les Bowman, Secretary; David Cole; Dick Goduti; Gerri Lewis, Clerk.
Absent: George Wall; Scott Mitchell, Harbor Master
3. Citizens with Business before the Commission:
None
At this time, Mr. Goduti made a motion to table all agenda items until the pending next meeting so that the commission could review status and focus on determining responsibilities to move several important issues forward, seconded by Mr. Cole and it was so voted unanimously.
4. Payment of Bills:
A motion was made by Mr.Goduti, seconded by Mr. Bowman to pay the bills from January. Motion was so voted unanimously.
The commission discussed the following priority items:
- The “Welcome to North Cove” sign and associated navigation buoy permits; Mr. Goduti suggested north side of channel just before peninsula near railroad tracks because it doesn’t seem to ice up there; would be visible to transient boaters coming into cove; two 4 x 4, pressure treated wood; commission will discuss at next meeting;
- Abandoned boat: Mr. Collins will speak with Between the Bridges to see if they have any interest; Mr. Bowman will reach out to Scott Massey; Mr. Goduti commented that the Fire Department should be contacted;
- Repairs to pilings at Ferry Dock: Mr. Cole asked Mr. Collins to contact Between the Bridges;
- Water to Ferry Dock: Mr. Collins will follow-up with Paterson Plumbing re water; needs someone to coordinate work;
- Property next to boat launch: State wants property; Mr. Collins will follow up;
- Mr. Bowman reported on Army Corps status;
- Port Authority Legislation: Mr. Bowman will reach out to Jeff Stedman for update;
5: Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Bowman and seconded by Mr. Collins at 7:55 p.m.
