HMC REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

1. Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 7:05pm by Chairman Collins.
2. Roll Call:
Present: R. Collins, Chairman, D. Cole, R. Goduti, G. Wall.
Absent: Dock/Harbor Master S. Mitchell, Clerk Gerri Lewis.
3. Citizens with Business before the Commission:
Richard Beck, Treasurer North Cove Yacht Club (observing.)
4. Minutes: 06/11/2013 (Special Meeting)
R. Goduti made a motion to approve the minutes of 06/11/2013. Seconded by D. Cole.
Motion approved. G. Wall abstained.
5. Clerk Report:
Written Clerk Report was presented to the Commission Chairman Collins. Noted that
Harry and Amos Swain did not pay their renewal fees as everyone else had done and they
should lose their slips. D. Cole suggested that since the Ferry Road Dock was in a state of
transition and that we may need to refund everyone’s fees depending on completion, that we
hold off until the next meeting. D. Cole volunteered to talk to them about their situations.
G. Wall asked that written records of calls and e-mails be kept and become part of the
Clerk’s Report.
6. North Cove:
No Updates.
7. Ferry Road Dock:
The Ferry Road project is behind schedule and the Contractor Old Colony Construction
LLC will be looking for an extension. Original contracted completion date was July 7,
extended to July 17th and more likely July 28th or later. This will pose a problem since the
Commission will not have a lot of time to install docks and ramps and may lose the boating
season.
A discussion on what should be done about the T-Dock ensued. R. Collins will contact
Keith Nelson (Docko, Inc.) to get information.
R. Goduti made a motion that we get estimate to replace the dock with floats, extend the
dock 100' to deep water and regain use of six slips. Second by G. Wall. Motion carried in
favor R. Goduti, D. Cole, G. Wall. Abstained R. Collins.
8. Waterways:
Mr. Wall had nothing to report.
9. Harbor Master:
No Report
10. Correspondence:
Dispensation to Rule 11
Henry David - Illness
Wilkes - Boat Repairs
Mel Cotrill - Track
Heartlane - Boat Repair
Motion made to grant dispensation of Rule 11 made by R. Collins and seconded by
R. Goduti. Passed unanimously.
11. New Business:
None
12. Old Business:
Tabled North Cove Policies until Fall Session
13: Payment of Bills:
Mr. Goduti questioned the Saybrook Hardware Bill (paint sprayer).
A motion was made by R. Goduti, seconded by G. Wall to pay all bills except Saybrook
Hardware. Motion carried unanimously.
14: Adjournment:
A motion to adjorn was made by R. Collins and seconded by D. Cole at 8:20Pm.
