Monday, January 24, 2011 Special Meeting Minutes
1. Call to Order
Chairman Ray Collins called the Special Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Attendance

David Cole arrived at 7:10 p.m.

3. Policies Ferry Road Dock, Clothesline, North Cove
The consensus of the Commission is that the draft documents for Ferry Dock and the
Clothesline from the previous meeting will be fine-tuned by Les Bowman and added to
the agenda of the next regular meeting. There was discussion about the North Cove
Regulations but the discussion will be continued.
4. Mooring adjustments
Scott Mitchell brought his first draft of the harbor layout for the Commission’s review. It
was decided that Mr. Chan, Mr. Varian and Mr. Golicz would all be issued mooring
permits for the upcoming season. Mr. Mitchell felt that the remainder 6 open moorings
can only be offered to 24 foot boats or smaller. Mr. Goduti felt strongly that one 18 foot
boat should be allowed for one of those 6 openings. There was discussion about the
number of larger boats now in the cove. Dick Goduti expressed his concerns about the
“shrinking” fairways in the anchorage. There was discussion about vessels leaving their tenders attached to for the whole season (even times when they are not aboard). This will be discussed at upcoming meetings.
Motion – Les Bowman moved to approve mooring permits for Jim Mitchell, David Chan, Stefan Golicz and Betsy Varian, Ray Collins seconded
4-0-0 motion carried unanimously
The first ten individuals on the wait list will be contacted to determine the size of the vessel they wish to put on a mooring. If 6 of the appropriate size are not found in the first ten on the wait list the next ten will be contacted.
5. Adjournment
Motion – Dick Goduti moved to adjourn at 8:30 p.m.
