III. PUBLIC HEARINGS
- Proposed Amendments to “Regulations”

- for Waiver from survey map, and to describe conditions for Exemption from Certificate

ACTION: Open Public Hearing; consider, act and set effective date.
R. Bradbury opened the public hearing.
R. Bradbury noted that Legal Counsel has approved the proposed amendments to the Regulations. No additional changes were recommended.
No members of the public were present.

B. Proposed Amendments to “By-Laws”
to correct typographical errors and to incorporate changes from Town Code/State statutes
Petitioner: Old Saybrook Historic District Commission
ACTION: Open Public Hearing; consider, act and set effective date.
R. Bradbury noted that Legal Counsel has approved the proposed amendments to the By-Laws.

IV. OLD BUSINESS
R. Bradbury reminded the Commission that the proposal to charge an application filing fee is to go before the Board of Selectman. If signed off on, the proposal to add the fee to the Town Code will be presented at a town meeting, most likely in January. Since the Commission should have a presence at that meeting, R. Bradbury will notify members of its date.
R. Bradbury reminded members to subscribe to receive notice of meeting agenda and minutes postings. Instructions will be e-mailed to the Committee.
V. NEW BUSINESS
R. Bradbury noted that e-mails had been sent considering two upcoming workshops for members to consider attending, Managing Local Historic Districts & Local Historic Properties to be held Thursday evening, December 2nd at the Guilford Free Library and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits to be offered at three separate locations, New London, Waterbury and Middletown.
D. Aldi DePaola discussed the changes to be made to the Process & Procedures booklet so that its language and guidelines correspond with the language and guidelines of the Regulations. They are to be distributed conjointly to applicants.
