The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

III. WORKSHOP
The Town Planner introduced Craig Minor, Councilman in the Town of Bristol and Town Planner for the Town of Cromwell. Mr. Minor presented an overview of the process of creating a historic district and shared some anecdotes about his experiences in creating three historic districts in the Town for Bristol.
The Commission’s discussion was interspersed with the Speaker’s comments and included how to raise awareness of the benefits of a historic district, legal procedures for expanding the boundaries of a district, building community support necessary to consider the process, the Commission’s role in shepherding that process. The Commission will organize a gathering of neighbors in area of the South Green national historic district for July 9, 2005 to be held at the home of Michael Pace.
IV. ADJOURNMENT
The Chairman adjourned the meeting at 9:02.
