  • CALL TO ORDER
Mr. LaMay called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

  • PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mr. LaMay led in the pledge.  

  • PUBLIC COMMENT   
Henri David, 122 North Cove Road, Old Saybrook had many questions about the guard rail project which is near his home.~ He stated he had not been informed as to what is being proposed.~ Mr. LaMay thanked him for his comments and advised him that it would be on the next meeting~agenda of August 19, 2014.
IV.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES  
       A motion to approve the minutes of July 15th was made by Mr. Thorpe and seconded by Mr. Stevenson.  Motion passed 3-0-1.

V.    FINANCE DIRECTOR REPORT
       Ms. Carver reported that twenty-one town employees chose the HSA Insurance plan out of twenty three.~ Mr. LaMay thank Ms. Carver for her report.

VI.  TREASURER REPORT
    ~ First meeting in September we will get shortage report from approx. 10 departments that the budget was overspent.~ Mr. LaMay thanked Mr. Fish for his report.

VII.     SELECTMAN REPORT
      Mr Fortuna spoke about the grant for the North Main Street project ~that would be brought before the Board at a future meeting.~ He spoke about progress on other projects in progress.~ Mr. LaMay thanked Mr. Fortuna.

VIII.  COMMENTS FROM THE CHAIR
Mr. LaMay reminded board members that there would be discussion at the August 19, 2014 meeting concerning the North Cove Historic District guardrails.~

IX.   ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Gernhardt at 8:20 p.m. and seconded by Mr. Thorpe and it was so voted unanimously.
