                                      PUBLIC HEARING
                                             APRIL 11, 2013   7:00 P.M.
                                           Middle School Auditorium


  • CALL TO ORDER:  Mr. LaMay called the Public Hearing to order at 7:08 p.m.

        There were approximately 50 members of the public in attendance.

  • PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:  Mr. LaMay led in the Pledge of Allegiance.
III.       PUBLIC HEARING:
Mr. Fortuna thanked everyone for coming out to the Public Hearing.  He introduced the Board of Selectmen and spoke about the town government budget briefly.  Additionally, he answered questions and spoke briefly about the WPCA Program Manager position.  He announced that the Town Meeting is April 30, 2013; 7:00 p.m. at the Middle School Auditorium.  He also announced that the Referendum would be March 8th, 2013; 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. to vote on the budget.  This would take place at the High School.

Mr. Sutman, acting superintendent, thanked the public for coming out and for their interest in the budget.  He spoke about the board of education budget and invited the public to ask questions.  A gentleman from the audience inquired about security in the schools which Mr. Sutman addressed.

The Public Hearing adjourned at 7:26 p.m.
