I.              CALL TO ORDER

        W.  Smith called the meeting to order at 3:38 p.m.

        A.      Membership

  • Election of Officers
MOTION to nominate Larry Ritzhaupt as Chairman, Robert Yust as Vice Chairman and Michael Momparler as Secretary for the Conservation Commission Sea Level Rise Climate Adaptation Committee.; MADE by Douglas McCraken; SECONDED by J. Holland; VOTED IN FAVOR: W. Smith, J. Brophy, J. Holland, W. Johnson, D. McCraken, M. Momparler, L. Ritzhaupt, S. Tagliatela; OPPOSED: none; ABSTAINED: none; APPROVED: 8-0-0.

        W. Smith said he would be the note taker for the meetings.

IV.     STUDY

  • “Where We Are” Presentation
Presenters: Sandy Prisloe, Environmental Planner
                Christina Costa, Zoning Enforcement Officer

S. Prisloe made a presentation of the causes of Sea Level Rise along with the potential rise in the 2035 planning time frame and in 2100. He also offered some steps to take to complete the plan in the next 12 months and emphasized the need for Outreach and Education.

It was also mentioned that Commissioners would like to look into getting a web site that includes a Dropbox like utility so members can post articles and other reference materials that Commissioners will use and avoid numerous distribution e-mails.
