The Chairman called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Approval of Minutes from July 12th Regular Meeting: MOTION: to approve the minutes from the July 12, 2011 meeting as presented; MOVED: by J. Brophy; SECONDED: by B. Sherwin; VOTING IN FAVOR: B. Fish, J. Brophy, R. Siegelman, B. Sherwin; OPPOSED: none; ABSTAINING: K. Gallagher.
Approval of Minutes from July 26th Special Meeting: Correction needed under "Members Absent" Bruce Sherwin should be listed instead of Mike Kelley.

Development of the Wiki:
Discussion held at length with regards as to how to develop the wiki site and how to create its content. The commission discussed the pros and cons of allowing the public to access the site. R. Siegelman felt having the public access will benefit this site and may generate larger interest.
It was agreed that in addition to engaging the public, the commission hopes to draw interest from other conservation minded agencies and people.
Discussion on posting articles to the wiki, for example cultural / recreational resources, or posting a survey to better get an idea in interested people and groups and the articles and new stories they would like to see.
Questions raised with regard to the possible legal and FOI implications.
It was agreed by the commission to keep the wiki separate from the town website.
Christine Nelson will write a statment defining the sub-committee and its goal. S. Prisloe suggested using the current email distribution list as a starting point to generate interest. The sub-committee will continue to meet bi-weekly.
Christine Nelson and Bob Fish will follow up with town counsel for any legal and FOI issues. Articles will be drafted for positng on the wiki.
