The Chair called the meeting to order at 3:33 PM.
All attendees of the site walk stood in the road viewing the site from the front. Mr. Jennings invited the attendees to view the site from his porch. The road makes a “Y” and the proposed building site is on the right arm of the “Y” facing right, while Mr. Jennings property is on the left arm of the “Y”. Mr. Jennings home also faces right, which puts it behind the proposed garage site. All attendees went to Mr. Jennings porch.
Attendees walked back to the front of the proposed building site. Mr. Leib tied a balloon to an 11’ pole and attached the pole to a tree on the back bank of the proposed building site. The attendees estimated the balloon to be approximately 24’ from road level. They then viewed the site again from Mr. Jennings porch.
Ms. Horton, abutter to both the right and left of the proposed building, attended the site walk and noted for the record that, although she and her husband had told Mr. Riley they had no problems with the rebuilding of the garage, she did not realize how tall he wanted to build it. She stated that she and her husband would try to attend the next public hearing.
Members of the Board concurred that a garage of that height in this location would crowd the area. There was also some concern about parking.
Mr. Jordan made a motion to recess the meeting until February 27, 2007, at 7:30 PM, at the Town Municipal Offices, in the Multi-Purpose Room. Mr. Morin seconded the motion. All in favor motion passed 3-0.
Mr. Jordan made a motion adjourn the meeting. Mr. Morin seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion passed 3-0.
Meeting adjourned 4:16 PM.
