Selectmen’s Workshop

10:05 AM Chair Bock opened the meeting and asked all those present to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Members Present: Peter Bock, Bill Netishen, Mary Bonser and Town Administrator Charles Brown.
Others: Gunnar Foss, Paul Colby
Motion, Bonser, second Netishen to enter non-public session per RSA 91-A:3II (a)
Vote, Netishen yes, Bonser yes, Bock yes, Motion passed.
12:03 PM Motion: Netishen, second Bonser to come out of non-public session.
Vote: 3-0 in favor. No action was taken.
Motion: Netishen, second Bonser to keep all discussions non-public.
Vote: 3-0 in favor.
Paul Colby was next to speak with the Board, regarding the most recent telephone outages. Phone service was restored at or around 10:30 AM today. The system is still not up to full function but should be by the end of the day.
Paul informed the Board of an issue regarding an un-permited two family home. He will follow-up and keep the Board informed.
Mr. Colby asked about the possible use of vacation time in 2008. The Board agreed to his request. Paul thanked the Board and left the meeting.
Next the Board asked Mr. Brown to do some background and follow-up work regarding the new Chief of Police position. Should there be a probationary period, what will be the effective date of the position, what training maybe available through Primex and LGC and what will be an adequate starting salary. Mr. Brown will get back to the Board with his findings and recommendations.

Vote: 3-0 in favor.
