Board of Selectmen Minutes 08/14/2007
Minutes
Selectmen’s Meeting
August 14, 2007

8:30 AM Chair Bock opened the meeting at the Community Center.

Members Present: Peter Bock, Bill Netishen, and Mary Bonser.

Visitor: David Noyes.
The BOS first dealt with the bids for oil, propane and diesel. The bids were opened Friday August 10 by Charles Brown and the lowest bid in all three categories is Irving Oil. The contract was ratified by a unanimous vote of the Board. Motion; Bill, second; Mary. The actual bid prices are attached to the minutes.
Bill Netishen noted that the Fire Station is on target for completion on or about the date the Town had hoped for. Bill mentioned that photos are needed related to issues concerning Nottingham Lake. Bill mentioned that the fire dept. maybe helpful to this end.
Paul Colby was invited to give the Board an update on his health issue. 4-6 months for full recover, able to do site visits assuming relatively easy access within a week or so. He is unable to successful write or type at this point. Arrangements have been made with Tracy to lend support.
David Noyes reported on his work related to the Town Square. Maps were presented for the Board to review. The information presented is a precursor to a visit at the site (which was postponed today by the BOS due to time issues) and any contact with people that have a vested interest in any possible outcome. Discussions followed for the remainder of the meeting. Mr. Noyes was asked to supply additional information and, in particular, to continue contact with Pete Landry and Mr. Garland, both of whom have been involved to some degree with this project.
Discussion concerning the Square was extensive but all speculative at this time.
        Meeting adjourned at 10:30AM.
