DRAFT MINUTES

1.   CALL TO ORDER Chairman Burger called the Regular Meeting of the North Stonington Zoning Board of Appeals to order at 7:05 p.m. at the Sr. Center, Holly Green Plaza.

COMMISSIONERS PRESENT Charlie Burger, Chairman, Candy Palmer, Secretary, Winnie Pattison, Treasurer and Alternate Member William Ricker

 

COMMISSIONERS ABSENT Allana York, Vice-Chairman, Helen Quallich and Alternate Members Wayne Wilkinson and Richard Bennardo

STAFF PRESENT Craig Grimord, Sr. Planner & Zoning Official and Administrative Assistant Cheryl Konsavitch

2.  ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA:

MOTION by W. Pattison, SECOND by C. Palmer to amend the Agenda to go to New Applications.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOSLY.

5.   NEW APPLICATIONS:

A.   ZBA Application #07-002, of Olga Travers, for property known as 59 Hangman Hill Road, located on the West side of Hangman Hill Road, approximately 450’ Northerly of the intersection of Hangman Hill Road and Reutemann Road.  Applicant is requesting a reversal of the Zoning Enforcement Officers decision regarding the use of the referenced property.  Tax Map #103/2742, Lot #56/7086   (Receive on 4/17/07 & Board to set for PH on or by 6/19/07)

B.    ZBA Application #07-003, of Green Falls Associates, L.L.C. & Ashwillet Brook, L.L.C. for property located on the Southerly side of Lake of Isles Road, at the Town Line with Preston, approximately 2,000 feet easterly of the intersection of Lake of Isles Road and Watson Road in an R-80 Zone.  Applicant is appealing the decision of the Zoning Enforcement Officer to deny property line adjustment application #07-036.  Tax Map #54, Parcel #6567

The Board set the Public Hearings on both new applications for May 15, 2007.

4.   PENDING APPLICATIONS:  



ZBA Application 07-001 – Travers – 59 Hangman Hill Road of Olga Travers, for property known as 59 Hangman Hill Road, approximately 450’ Northerly of the intersection of Hangman Hill Road and Reutemann Road.  Applicant is requesting a reversal of the Zoning Enforcement Officers decision regarding the use of the referenced property.



The Board did not have 5 members seated for this application to make a decision.

MOTION by C. Palmer, SECOND by W. Pattison to resume deliberations to the May 15, 2007 meeting.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

8.   CORRESPONDENCE:

The Board went over correspondence in their packets.

    

9.   REVIEW MINUTES:

Review minutes of March 20, 2007 meeting

MOTION by C. Palmer, SECOND by W. Pattison to approve the amended draft minutes of March 20, 2007 with the necessary corrections.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

10.   ADJOURNMENT:

MOTION by W. Pattison, SECOND by C. Palmer to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m.
