DRAFT Minutes

1.   CALL TO ORDER:
Bob Carlson called the Regular Meeting of the School Ad Hoc Committee to order on Monday, January 25th at 7:03 P.M.
2.  ROLL CALL:
Committee Members Present: Bob Carlson (Chairman), Chris D’Angelo (Vice-Chairman), Jeff Frenette (Corresponding Secretary), Leslie Driscoll, Walter Mathwich, Julie Lanier, Sam Cherenzia, Brett Mastroianni.
Committee Member Absent: Arthur Dobley (Recording Secretary) and Barbara Siner
3.  PUBLIC COMMENTS & QUESTIONS: None.
4.  ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA: None.
5.  MINUTES:
 MOTION by Sam Cherenzia, SECOND by Brett Mastroianni, to accept the Draft Minutes of Jan 11, 2009 Regular Meeting & Workshop. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
6.  CORRESPONDENCE: Resignation Letter of Arthur Jerbert
7.  OLD BUSINESS:  None.
8. NEW BUSINESS:  None.
9. DISCUSSIONS: Chairman Carlson commented on initial PowerPoint presentation provided my Ms Lanier as a good starting point to creation of presentation.       
10. WORKSHOP: Regionalization Workshop Opened at 7:07pm
Chairman Carlson turned the workshop over to Vice Chairman D’Angelo.  Vice Chair provided a highlight to our existing charter to set stage for discussion.   Vice Chair provided groundwork that tonight’s workshop is to obtain questions that will be submitted to the Superintendants of two local schools that will be attending a Special Feb 1 Adhoc meeting.  Vice Chair requested clarification for committee and public on options available, School of Choice or Regionalization.  Dr Pukas provided highlights of each option.  Several questions from the public were provided and noted by the committee.  Several questions were provided to Vice Chair from committee members. Vice Chair will compile a list of questions from both the committee and public and will be provided to Dr. Pukas for delivery to Superintendents.
11.  ADJOURNMENT  
MOTION by Jeffrey Frenette, SECOND by Julie Lanier to adjourn the School Ad Hoc Committee Meeting at 9:00 P.M.  MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
